Here is the background and journey that led to the creation of the “PLP Global Wellness” concept and the sharing of this vision and expertise through “PLP Training and Consulting”.
Who am I?
As a teenager, I was drawn to massage and yoga as a natural extension of my sensitivity.
As a clinical psychology student at Paris 7 Censier University (graduated in 1981), I discovered California-style massage, which was all the rage at the time—a gentle, superficial massage aimed primarily at harmonizing the body’s overall sense of well-being.
By “chance,” I discovered the Saint-Tropez peninsula one summer when necessity led me to offer my services as a self-taught massage therapist to the wealthy clientele on the private beaches of Pampelonne.
Given the enthusiastic response from clients and the unexpected success of my improvised treatments, I decided to earn my state certification as a massage therapist and physical therapist (State Certification in 1985), which would allow me to practice my newly discovered talent for massage freely and legally.
After four years of hard study at the “De Sambucy” school in Paris, my search for a sunny place to settle down led me to “stumble upon” an opportunity to work in Cogolin, in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
For 35 years, I will have managed and developed this versatile medical practice alongside my colleagues, treating a wide variety of conditions on a daily basis.
In addition to these therapeutic services, every summer I organize an event in Saint-Tropez focused on wellness for a discerning international clientele.
I am also continuing my research and training:
I obtained my diploma in Osteopathy in 1996 (Recognized and validated by the State in 2008)
I studied traditional Chinese medicine for four years with Madame Marine Malzard and practiced ZA ZEN according to the tradition handed down by Master Taisen DESHIMARU.
I follow Dominique Martin’s complete yoga therapy curriculum
I discover with passion and practice for 25 years Aikido with Master Jean Marie Tung
I am introduced to the teachings and practice of Tibetan Yoga by the many exiled masters who regularly teach in the West: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Gozok Rimpoche, Lama Kandro Rimpoche…
I train in Ayurveda, and travel throughout South and North India, as well as Nepal.
The comprehensive vision and holistic expertise that form the foundation of the PLP Global Wellness concept have gradually emerged from decades of daily practice in private practice, corporate settings, and spas, as well as from my work as a therapist and wellness practitioner and as an instructor in massage and yoga.
I then worked in some prestigious locations in France and abroad, including Saint Barthélemy, New York, Marrakech, and Agadir.
PLP Training and Consulting provides the best possible transmission of an understanding of all the structures, systems, and functions of the human body according to both a Western analytical vision and an Eastern holistic vision of the human being, based on internal and external perception and mastery of the Five Elements.
This understanding and perception enable the search for balance and vital dynamism, which will be provided during the Manual Therapy session by the practitioner, and cultivated by the recipient over the long term through joyful and regular psycho-physical practice, systematically taught in parallel with the treatments.
The essential combination of richly personalized care and regular personal practice is the key to the concept of Well-Being, Health, and Prevention “PLP GLOBAL WELLNESS.”
PLP TRAINING AND CONSULTING offers training in this concept and its practices.
